Counselling: Learning and Active Listening

Core counselling skills be Paraphrasing Reflecting Summarising Focussing Active listen Empathy SOLERParaphrasing is focusing on the main f tours.Reflecting and paraphrasing are similar its reporting back to the client whats been said it is a elan of indicating that we are listening, Reflecting refers to the skill of communication. Summerising, summerising is the process of trying to put everything whats been said during the session. Focusing, focusing is important because it shows the client that youre showing an interest on whats been said. Active listening, active listening is important because youre listening to the client and the client get alongs your showing an interest. As a councillor its important to listen and represent full attention to the client. Empathy, empathySOLER.
